Match report Victory! The seconds secured their second win of the season with an excellent performance in the field and some great batting. Fielding what must have been one of the youngest sides in the history of the 2nds it was a really good sign that Stansted Hall has a good future.
Tony Brown won the toss and decided to field. He opened the bowling with Marshy and they did an excellent job of keeping the runs down as well as picking up wickets a regular intervals. Then it was over to the younger bowlers who all did well, especially Ross Laird who bowled very accurately and picked up the crucial wicket of Bidwell (52).
Tony also opened the batting and played beautifully for 52, so did Alexander Hearne who also made 52. They were backed up by Rob Taylor 27* and Ian Laird 30*.
