Match report Farnham CC vs SHCC

First round of the Davies Cup gave Hall a difficult draw against local rivals Farnham. On a lifeless pitch, Hall batted first, and struggled in the conditions. Hall started off reasonably well but then found scoring tough, as wickets fell regularly throughout with no real partnerships being formed. Bousy scored 20 and Spoony 21 not out. Livings managed to run himself out after a positive start, and he claimed this to be down to his strained bum muscle!! Hall finished on 80 for 6 from their 20 overs, probably 20 runs short of a competitive total.

Willo made an early breakthrough in the Farnham innings, but Farnham started well. The introduction of Hallsy and Bousy tightened things up for Hall, but with only 4 an over required, Farnham had the upper hand. Hallsy returned good figures of 0-20 from his 6 overs, and Bousy bowled very well to claim three Farnham wickets. Farnham reached the total for the loss of 5 wickets with 10 balls to spare.
