Juniors Section

Junior Membership

The club has a thriving Junior Section with approximately 100 members.

The Club welcomes parents to step up and assist in the Junior development wherever they can.

We're keen for the Junior Section to grow, however, to ensure that all members get the opportunity to play as many matches as possible.

Junior Teams & Competitions for 2023 Season

Currently, we have Eight Junior teams:

  • All Stars (5-8 Years)
  • Under 9s Softball Festival Cricket
  • Under 10s Softball Terrier Cup
  • Under 11s WEDCB Div A 9 Aside
  • Under 11's WEDCB Girl's Festival

  • Under 13s WEDCB Div B

Younger players can play for older age teams if the coaches and parents agree. In the past, many Junior members have played in the senior First XI and Second XI fixtures, and subsequently progressed to become permanent members of the senior teams.

We have a Girls section, which we are keen to increase, and have a separate training session on a Friday night at Stansted Hall (see below). Girls can play in matches with boys and can play for age groups two years younger than their actual age.

Coaches & Training

Our teams are managed by experienced cricketers, most of our managers and all of our coaches have ECB qualifications. Many of our coaches have ECB level 2. All our coaches and managers are CRB checked.

Our Child Protection Policy is available for view.
