Match report A good win for SH&E against a weak Farnham side. SH&E batted first in cloudy conditions and struggled initially against some very tight Farnham bowling especially from Murray and after 22 overs we were 50 for 2. After the drinks break Foxy and Moscow led the charge with some excellent running and some resounding 4s. Foxy went for 74, mistakenly walking after hitting the ball twice, but Joel and Max Bohannon carried on the good work. Joel making 59 and Max 41, Kieran Amos and Jo johnstone pushed the score up to a very respectable 224 for 5 (174 runs scored in the last 23 overs).
The strange dismissals continued when the Farnham opener was bowled by a bouncer from James Fortune early on but then obdurate batting from Armstrong (20) and Dunne (52) who punished the many short balls we bowled took Farnham to 82 for 1, but then Dave Saker came into his own! His first 4 overs were accurate but no wickets, but then he snared Dunne with the help of a good catch from Foxy and then he just raced through them with good accurate bowling and ended up with the excellent figures of 8 for 20.
