Match report 3 in 3!!!
On a slow, low pitch The 2s struggled to post what a decent total. Nigel Witherden was unlucky to be run-out backing up and Ian Laird got one that hardly bounced. It was up to his two sons, Adam and Ross, to get The Hall to 177. Both batted superbly. A mention also has to go to Extras, who scored 49!
League leaders Little Munden then got of to a good start and although Nick Kessingland picked up 2 good wickets, they seemed to be cruising at 120-2. Tony had to go to work after bowling his very economical ten overs, so Nigel took over the captaincy. Rob Holland then came on and got 2 wickets in his first over and then he and Nigel Witherden strangled the Munden innings. Nigel picked up 4 wickets (including the key one of Andrews) and Rob 3 as they collapsed to 130-8 and then to 152-9. Once again, the fielding was superb. Patrick Hearne, Liam Chisnall and Adam Laird all took stunning catches. Liam and Rob both held their nerve at the end to secure a great victory.
