Stansted Hall & Elsenham Cricket Club Lost by 91 runs

Match report A 2nd team weakened by absences, travelled to Braughing on Saturday. One of their openers got of to a good start, but they had a collapse around 90, that slowed down the scoring. Rob Holland picked up three wickets and combined with David Brown for a run out. One of the Braughing bats, then proceeded on an onslaught, bludgeoning three straight 6s and plenty of 4s to post a decent total. A mention has to go to some tight bowling at the death by both Ross Laird and Matt Dinley. Unfortunately, the Halls reply never really looked like challenging the Braughing total. Kevin Townsend and Matt Dinley both batted well and Adam Laird played some nice shots at the end.
