Match report Will, Morgan and George starred in the batting, scoring 56, 19 and 22* respectively, on a pitch that was very difficult to bat on, finishing with 148 in total. Dave Saker and Archie kept the bowling very tight at the start, with both players getting 3 maidens in a row during their opening spell, and Dave going for only 11 runs in his 8 overs! Our Fielding was faultless during the first 20 overs, with our opponents restricted to 49-2. Archie went for 22 runs in his 8 taking 2 wickets, Morgan bowled brilliantly and went for 27 runs during his 8 overs, also taking 2 wickets. Unfortunately at the end, a combination of the pitch drying up to become a lot more playable, and some sloppy bowling/fielding allowed our opponents to win with 2 overs left. In a match that heavily depended on the coin toss, we did really well to keep it as close as we did given our total runs. Special mentions to Morgan Cook, who has improved his bowling significantly, he looks to be a very handy bowler, and to George Mackenzie, who batted brilliantly at the end, perfecting every shot in the book. We'll look forward to seeing more from these two.
